Just crossed into Eastern Time

Back to reality, too dark for pictures. 7.5 hours to go.

Mississippi, we're here!

Really cool welcome by the Mississippi river. Good bye Louisiana.

Gotta love satellite radio

So great to have the music available no matter where we are.

Just crossed into Louisiana through Texas.

Approaching Albuquerque on US-66/I-40.

Shooting for Miami. A bit delayed but on the way nontheless.

Bye Grand Canyon. New Mexico, thank you for having us.

We are staying overnight in Gallop, NM. The adventure continues tomorrow.

Detour to the Grand Canyon?

Driving back from Las Vegas to Miami. Just stopped for lunch in Arizona 70 miles from the Grand Canyon National Park. I think we are taking the detour to go see it. Just like this morning's detour to the Hoover Dam. Yes we are!

Getting ready to leave Las Vegas

Tonight we are going to skip posting pictures and adding more details of the day. We have to go rest for the first leg of the 41 hours of driving that will take us from the west coast all the way home.

But rest assured, we will post more soon. Probably once we are home.

We met a few people in all the cities we visited. To all of you, thank you for your time and we wish you a happy and safe holiday season, no matter where you spend it.

For now, good night.

Las Vegas baby! We made it!

UPDATE: We left Grand Junction in the morning to go to Las Vegas. Colorado is an amazing state, which we are definitely coming back to visit. Next time, we will dedicate a lot more than one full day to this state.

After check-out, we went off to visit friends, Steve and his lovely family. This stop was one of the biggest highlights of our trip. Next time, we'll make plans with them to do some outdoor adventures, and perhaps some more.

Did I mention how amazing Colorado is? We need to come back in the spring to have the experience of looking at the colorful side of Colorado. Right now the weather is chilly and dry so the trees have lost most, if not all, their foliage.

I can't wait to see all the waterfalls, and colorful valleys and mountains of the region.

See the night arrival to Las Vegas pictures below!

Beautiful Grand Junction

Hey there Steve! Great to see you again and meeting your beautiful family.

Utah Sunset

After a loooong drive, we needed to relax, so Las Vegas Hard Rock it is. Cheers!
